Job Description:
The Medical Room Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment in the medical office. This position involves preparing exam rooms, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring that patients are ready for their examinations. The technician works closely with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and contribute to a safe and comfortable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Preparation & Sanitization:
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect exam rooms, medical equipment, and surfaces between patient visits, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
- Patient Preparation:
- Greet patients and prepare them for their examination, including escorting them to exam rooms.
- Ensure patient forms and records are ready and properly organized.
- Equipment Management:
- Set up and sanitize medical equipment for use in patient exams.
- Ensure all necessary tools and instruments are readily available and functioning properly.
- Patient Flow Support:
- Manage the flow of patients in and out of exam rooms, ensuring that each room is prepared for the next patient.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with optometrists, medical staff, and other team members to provide the best care and ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and cleaning protocols.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, and arrange medical equipment as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19,000.00 - $21,000.00 per year
