Job Description:
The Receiver at Family Farm and Home is accountable for verifying and processing incoming and outgoing freight. This involves receiving and sorting shipments according to proper procedures, operating a forklift or pallet jack safely and efficiently, and separating special orders from delivery. You will also be responsible for tagging required items with security tags, maintaining strict organization standards in the backroom, and ensuring all inbound merchandise is checked in per store procedures.
Additionally, you will oversee the proper procedures for inter-store transfers, process damage claims according to store policy, and maintain related paperwork. Your duties will also include assisting with stocking freight, answering customer service phone calls, and maintaining cleanliness of the backroom and outside of the store.
