Family First Child Care is seeking a full-time Education Assistant to join our team in Cathedral City, CA.
Job Description:
The Early Care & Education Assistant will work with children ages 1-5 years old and up to 8 years old. The ideal candidate will be able to work with children with special needs, as well as those who are learning to read and write. The Education Assistant will assist in providing daily care for the children, as well as assisting in the daily operations of the school. This position requires a strong ability to work with children and families, as well as communicate effectively with others.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily care of the children, including diaper changing, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Provide responsive care for the children by cultivationg caring relationships with young children, predictable routines, and participating in daily play and exploration.
- Assist with the daily operations of the program. This includes care, light cleaning & organizing and direct supervision of young children. Must be playful, fun and patient. There is Light cleaning and organizing during operating hours.
- Maintain open communication with the owner/ director regarding concerns or problems.
- Attend all required staff meetings as required by contract.
- Attend all required staff meetings as required by contract.
- Complete all required Mandated Reporter Online Training prior to employment.
- Must have a crimial background clearance prior to emplyment.
- Required Immunizations: Tb, Whooping Cough, MMR
- Complete all required trainings and continuing education requirements in accordance with state regulations and Family First Child Care policies.
- Participate in staff meetings regarding issues or concerns that may arise at school or that may affect the overall operation of the classroom or facility (i.e., new policies or procedures).

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred.Preferred 1 year experience working with children ages 3-5 years old.Preferred 1 year experience working with children ages 1 -5 years old.Preferred 1 year experience working with parents.Preferred 1 year experience working in a school.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
