Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and file probate documents, including petitions, notices, affidavits, and inventories.
• Assist in the preparation of accountings for estates and trusts.
• Manage estate administration tasks such as gathering and organizing assets, paying debts, and distributing assets to beneficiaries.
• Coordinate communication between clients, beneficiaries, court personnel, and financial institutions.
• Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and filed correctly.
• Monitor probate deadlines and ensure all required documents are submitted promptly.
• Conduct legal research related to probate law, tax issues, and estate planning.
• Assist in the drafting and finalizing of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Work with accountants or financial professionals to assist with estate tax returns.
• Communicate with creditors to resolve claims against the estate.
• Assist in preparing documents for probate litigation, when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism when handling sensitive information.
