What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Education Teacher position at Family Focus?
General Description:
The Early Education Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care. The ideal person will develop partnerships with parents/guardians to engage and encourage parent participation in program. The Teacher is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies; and works collegially with other staff members of Family Focus.
* Position Eligible for Monthly Workforce Salary Supplement Bonus after Completing MRTQ registration and training.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, no nights or weekends.
- Preferred CDA or Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Apply for and maintain a professional membership with the (Maine Roads To Quality) MRTQ Registry.
- Complete state fingerprinting process prior to employment
- Continue to pursue education/training.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children as outlined in the state licensing Handbook.
- Adheres to all established policies, procedures and code of ethics.
- Maintains a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, co-workers and parent/guardians.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
