Administrative Communication and Compliance
• Assists the center manager and driver in developing and maintaining bus routes.
Greets visitors, determines nature of business, and directs visitors to the appropriate person or area.
• Data Entry/Child Plus
• Takes center attendance daily; calls families with children who are absent for reason absent (if
applicable)
• Enter daily attendance into Child Plus for all Head Start center-based classrooms
• Answers the telephone and provides information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate staff
• Handles incoming and outgoing center mail
• Prepares purchase orders and initiates request to supervisor• Complete the Meeting Minutes form and the Attendance Record form for all center meetings/trainings
throughout the year.
Health & Safety
• Notifies teacher when a child has been absent two consecutive days with no contact from the child's
family.
• Prints health reports and gives a copy to the center manager and family support specialist
• Files health data into child files
• Communicates with outside agencies to obtain child health information
• In an emergency, staff are expected to stay at their job and not abandon their duties and responsibilities.
Staff may be asked to perform other duties for the health and safety of children
