Responsibilities:
- Works in a passionate team environment
- Oversees caseload of 4 infants and toddlers (between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years old) and collaborates with an infant-toddler aid Monday - Thursday; Friday is a no-child day
- Partners with families to set learning goals and plan learning experiences by integrating knowledge of each child’s temperament, interests, gender, culture, language, learning approaches, understanding, misconceptions, and abilities and by working collaboratively with families and a range of specialists
- Integrates sensory learning experiences related to all domains throughout the curriculum, environment, and day
- Engages children in individual and small-group experiences designed to enhance development and learning activities
- Builds children’s awareness of and ability to follow basic health and safety rules by providing opportunities for health and safety learning and supervising children at all times and positively redirecting them from potentially harmful activities
- Conducts home visits and center visits for caseload
- Assists in scouting and enrolling families
Qualifications:
- Required credentials: A minimum of a Child Development Associate Credential or a related state-awarded credential is required and have been trained in infant/toddler development
- Must have Introduction to the Early Childcare Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Early Childhood Teacher noncredited courses at time of hire
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid is a requirement within 3 months of hire
- Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance
