YOUR DAY
In your position as an Cook Assistant/Assistant Preschool Teacher, you'll actively engage children in diverse activities, create immersive learning experiences, and collaborate on inventive teaching tools. Implementing the Conscious Discipline, you'll ensure meaningful interactions, contribute to individualization goals, and supervise skill development. Outside the classroom, your flexibility shines in weekly team meetings. Additionally, your adaptability extends to serving as a Cook Assistant. This position will prepare meals for family style dining. Throughout, your dedication remains unwavering to fostering a nurturing environment, honoring each child's uniqueness, and playing a role in shaping the future-one child at a time.
PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate degree in early childhood education or child development OR enrolled in a relevant program.
· Knowledge of licensing requirements, Child and Adult Care Food Program, and Head Start Program performance standards
· Ability to use an electronic payroll system
· Prepares food in quantities according to CACFP requirements
· Delivers and serves meals to the classrooms or dining areas.
· Cleans and sanitize the kitchen area including dishes, work counters, and food storage areas.
· Participates in center and agency staff meetings as required.
· Follows Agency policies and procedures.
· Assists in recruiting families
· Cleans and sanitizes classroom and dining room tables prior to meals and snacks.

WORK SCHEDULE
Your commitment will be celebrated with a Monday through Friday schedule between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Flexibility is the key, allowing you to tailor schedules and action plans to cater to the unique needs of children, families, and our program.
