Job Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Education and Training Program Director and with the Assistant Coordinator to carry out the training, duties, and responsibilities outlined below.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver training sessions as a part of the Training Program team.

Complete all necessary documentation related to training sessions.

Provide technical assistance, consultation, and mentoring to child-care providers

Keep current on developments and trends in early care and education.

Represent the Training Program at meetings and/or conferences as needed.

Participate in program special events and training sessions, i.e. Sensational Saturday, Week of the Young Child, and the Special Needs Conference.
Pre/In-service Training:
Pre/In-service training will include overview and training on agency policies and procedures. Additional training in management and quality early care and education will be provided through research materials, meetings, classes, and conferences.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, or a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education plus 18 hours of credit in Early Education, an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Child Development Associate Credential.
Training Required:
Documented completion of continuing professional development courses/sessions related to early childhood education. Training in all areas of the Performance Standards and the Alabama Pathways to Quality Early Care and Education Professional Development System, as well as adult learning styles and Train the Trainer courses.
Experience Required:
Two years experience working with young children. Minimum of three years experience in the design and implementation of effective training presentations, technical assistance. Documented ability to manage complex/multiple programs. Must have excellent verbal, written, organizational, and computer skills
