Peer Support Specialist - Manteno

Essential Duties:

• Interview patients within 24 hours of admission
• Provide information and support for patient’s family and other significant relationships, with a goal of creating understanding of Substance Use Disorder/Medically Assisted Treatment services, with new knowledge utilized to support the patient post Resident Services or other treatment programs
• Provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching and support
• Assist the person served increasing social support networks of relatives, friends and/or significant others
• To offer encouragement in times of crisis and stress to eliminate potential barriers to one’s ongoing recovery

Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00a - 3:30p)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Location: 333 W Evergreen St., Manteno, IL

Pay Rate: Up to $18.00 per hour; based on experience

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum one year of recovery from substance use, mental health, or co-occuring substance use and mental health challenges required.

Certification, Licensure, Registrations: Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) from the ICB required within one year of placement in position. A valid driver's license and insurance required.
