POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for sourcing, researching, and procuring goods and services for the organization. Identify suitable suppliers, negotiate prices, and place orders to ensure the organization receives the best quality products at the most competitive cost, while adhering to organization policies and budget constraints. Ensure all procurement activities comply with organization, as well as state and federal regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assisting and collaborating with departments on specific needs, and selection of goods and services.
- Researching and identifying potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery timeframes.
- Generating procurement documents for required goods and services, specifying quantities, delivery dates, and specifications.
- Completing data entry into accounting system or other tracking tools as orders are placed, goods and services are received, and / or withdrawn.
- Ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies and materials.
- Ensuring procured goods meet quality standards and specifications.
- Comparing related documents to verify receipt of all goods and services, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Contacting suppliers regarding errors in partial or duplicate shipments, prices, damaged goods, or needed repairs.
- Organizing and monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Managing supply rooms and storage areas for regular distribution of supplies.
- Establishing and maintaining records and controls on purchasing transactions and vendor files.
- Coordinating scrubs and lab coats orders, and laundry of lab coats.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Performing periodic assets and goods inventory and maintaining accurate records of procurement and disposals.
- Preparing periodic reports documenting activities such as tracking and inventory reports.
- Maintaining procurement files and records and ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Attending and participating in company-wide and departmental meetings / trainings as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :
Associates Degree in a business and / or three plus years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
