Description: The general function of this position is to assist patients in identifying the nature of any outstanding balances to increase point-of-service collections and to facilitate the financial assistance program enrollment process.
Qualifications:
Collections experience highly preferred.
Understands and has the ability to demonstrate the importance of exemplary customer service.
Ability to exercise critical thinking skills, multi-task, take initiative, and take ownership to follow through with responsibilities according to established policies and procedures.
Ability to work cooperatively as a productive member of a team. Ability to use multi-line phone system, computer systems, and general office equipment.
Ability to type proficiently and understand the keyboard. Trustworthiness and accuracy in money-handling.
Ability to adapt to change and new technologies to perform successfully.
Ability to comply with HIPAA laws and accreditation requirements.
Ability to correspond and access databases preferred.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Familiarity with basic functions of a computer.
