Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. As a part-time Medical Assistant for our expanded hours, you will play a key role in providing excellent patient care. You will work alongside our providers and other clinical staff to support day-to-day operations and ensure our patients receive the care they need in a timely, compassionate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in taking patient histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examination.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as EKGs and lab specimen collections.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the provider on staff.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Ensure medical records are accurately maintained and updated in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments.
- Assist with patient check-in, check-out, and insurance verification when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and help create a positive experience during their visit.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines and FQHC protocols.
