Position Summary
The Clinic RN / LPN / CMA performs routine administrative and patient care support duties in a medical practice to assist medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients and contribute to a positive patient experience and healthy work environment
Essential Functions
- Performs triage activities and prepares patient for provider visit.
- Updates and revises all patient medical history as it pertains to each specific visit.
- Provides patient education, by teach back methods.
- Assists provider during patient appointment as requested.
- Administers ordered medications.
- Assists patients with coordination of care activities including but not limited to : scheduling of referrals, medication calls, and prior authorizations.
- Complies with all regulatory, state, and federal regulations as well as FHC policies and procedures.
- Maintain neat and clean work and storage areas.
- Adheres to all infection control and prevention policies and procedures.
- Obtains and maintains required competencies for role.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in office / clinic setting
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing / accredited program. Must obtain and maintain licensure through Indiana Professions Licensing Agency. Must have certification in CPR.
