What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic RN position at Family Health Center?
The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients in collaboration with providers in patient care departments. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the RN scope of practice as defined by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
Essential Functions

Performs triage activities and prepares patient for provider visit.

Updates and revises all patient medical history as it pertains to each specific visit.

Provides patient education, by teach back methods.

Assists provider during patient appointment as requested.

Administers ordered medications.

Assists patients with coordination of care activities including but not limited to: scheduling of referrals, medication calls, and prior authorizations.

Complies with all regulatory, state, and federal regulations as well as FHC policies and procedures.

Maintain neat and clean work and storage areas.

Adheres to all infection control and prevention policies and procedures.

Obtains and maintains required competencies for role.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in office/clinic setting
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must obtain and maintain licensure through Indiana Professions Licensing Agency. Must have certification in CPR.
