What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Staff Nurse Primary Care position at Family Health Center?
This is a fulltime onsite position.
The RN Staff Nurse for Primary Care provides direct and indirect nursing care in a family practice setting. The RN will participate in all aspects of care to patients including triage, health maintenance teaching, and administration of vaccines / medication. The RN will also collaborate and communicate with other nursing professionals, medical assistants, and medical providers to ensure high quality patient care. The RN will provide support to medical providers, as needed in the management of prescriptions and controlled substance prescriptions.
Educational Requirements :
Graduate of accredited school of nursing required; AS or BS in nursing preferred.
Experience Required :
Two years full time professional experience or part time equivalent
Professional Licensure / Special Skills And Certification Required :
Must be licensed as a RN by the Massachusetts State Board of Registration. BLS required.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Precept medical assistant staff by assisting and providing direction with procedures and activities that facilitate patient centered care.
Reporting Relationship :
Reports to the Director of Nursing
