Position Summary
Social workers provide direct service that assists clients with their needs that pertain to everyday life issues, complications, and problems, including incidents of neglect, abuse, or domestic violence, or with mental health, and substance abuse challenges. They provide clinical services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric clients who are mentally ill, chemically dependent, dually diagnosed and mentally ill/developmentally disabled. This includes individual, family, group therapy, psychiatric consultations.
Social workers collaborate with their clients to assess their goals and develop treatment plans to identify the steps to obtain their goals. When appropriate, they may also offer their clients and patients outside referrals for support groups or other mental health professionals or to respond to moments of crisis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Complete psychiatric evaluations, review with clinic lead or approved LCSW, and complete Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation as indicated.
- Develop and review clients’ individualized treatment plans using person-centered treatment planning.
- Identifies and provides appropriate individual, family and group therapy, documenting services as required.
- Assists individual clients, families, and children to utilize appropriate community resources.
- Reaches productivity standards set for clinical role.
- Complete treatment reports for appropriate referral entities.
- Consults and communicates with other team members to deliver quality treatment.
- Performs all necessary clinical documentation per policy and procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
- Attends and participates in clinical staff meetings, group supervision, quality improvement projects, and supervision with the Operations Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Education:
- Master of Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited Institution.
- Licensure:
- Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or comparable degree and privileges in the state of Indiana.
- Experience:
- Preference given to applicants with experience in a mental health setting.
- Skills:
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing on professional level with all required contacts.
- Possesses critical thinking skills to assist patients/clients with problem solving.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Social Work Code of Ethics.
- Familiar with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
- Collaborates with others in a professional manner.
- Possesses sound critical thinking skills and can assist patients/clients with problem solving.
- Understand HIPAA laws and protocols.
HOURS
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or Monday-Thursday 8-7
