Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to join our team at our new La Mesa Family Health Center. We are looking for a skilled healthcare professional who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of underserved communities.
**Job Summary:**
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and families in our community
- Build a new pediatric practice and work independently
- Collaborate with our team to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes
**Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and sick visits
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in our electronic medical record system
- Follow FHCSD policies and procedures, including maintaining licensure, certification, and credentials
- Participate in on-call schedule and respond to patient needs in a timely manner
- Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer
**Requirements:**
- Graduated from an accredited school of medicine
- Completed three years of residency training in pediatrics
- Board certified in pediatrics or board eligible for new graduates
- Current DEA license and unrestricted license to practice in California
- Second language fluency in Spanish or Tagalog preferred
