Laura Rodriguez Medical Assistant Institute is looking for a volunteer teacher's aide, join us and be part of an exciting program!
Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to data entry, attendance reporting, classroom material preparation, involved in student group activities, and faculty support.
- Performs volunteer duties as assigned, within scope of assignment, under direct supervision.
- The Volunteer, Nursing Student Intern provides support to an assigned department while gaining knowledge of community health care.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- Interest in volunteering.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Enrollment in an accredited school to complete certification/degree.
- Current CPR certification preferred (not required)
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.
- Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, coworkers, and departments.
- Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Spanish/English/Arabic fluency desired, but not always required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
