What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - Family Medicine Practice position at Family Health Centers, P.A.?
The Family Health Centers seeks applicants for phlebotomist to work in any one of our three locations: Asheville, Arden and Candler.
- The phlebotomist collects blood (through vein or finger) and sterile urine specimens. Responsibilities include performing waived laboratory test and daily quality checks.
PHLEBOTOMIST DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Phlebotomist certificate.
- Three to six months of clinical laboratory work/training experience in a fast-paced medical practice.
- Previous experience working with electronic medical records. (AllScripts Preferred)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge,
PHLEBOTOMIST SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- High level of professionalism, excellent communications skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Ability to prioritize work
- Knowledge of CLIA/OSHA regulations and guidelines
Work hours Monday - Friday, days.
