Per Diem Medical Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various clerical tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility and requires a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Looking for immediate start. Can be cross-trained as Per Diem Medical Assistant if desired.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
• Handle phone systems efficiently, ensuring clear communication with patients and staff.
• Verify insurance information.
• Maintain accurate patient records and file documents appropriately.
• Utilize eClinicalWorks software for patient management and documentation.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering calls or addressing patient inquiries.
• Assist in resolving any patient issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support the medical staff with clerical tasks as needed to enhance workflow.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar clerical role is preferred.
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and Medicare guidelines.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this will enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and schedules.
• A professional attitude coupled with strong interpersonal skills will contribute to a positive patient experience.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
