Communicates the admitting process to the patients of the practiceAssembles patient forms for scheduled appointments including consent, authorization, and physical forms; verifies accurate and current patient information.Provide efficiencies in scheduling and managing patients and scheduling of appointments.Checks insurance and payment eligibility in computer system and / or using online tools to ensure correct and accurate data is collected.Knowledge of medical practice principles, practices and procedures.Receive, post and track all payments on accounts and collect initial payment based on co-pay or deductible amounts according to insurance eligibility portal data.Processes incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, politely, and as quickly as possible.Documents all phone messages in regards to patients given and received in the EHR.Complete all scanning of patient information, lab results, correspondence in patient files and filing charts as necessary.Interviews patient or representative to obtain and record in computer the patient name, address, age, persons to notify in case of emergency, attending Physician, and individual or insurance company responsible for payment of bill.Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is turned off and doors are locked at the end of the day.Other job-related duties as assigned.Wage starts at $18.55
