Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Part Time
Reports To: Lead Pharmacy Tech
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Starting Pay: $21.30/hr D.O.E.
Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacists with ensuring customers receive the correct medications as quickly as possible. This person will assist customers both in person and over the phone, submitting refill requests, submitting insurance claims, filing prescription paperwork, filling prescriptions and cleaning the pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Follows established departmental and company policies and procedures

Ensures the pharmacy is clean, sanitized an
d well maintained - Enters new prescriptions into the system
- Delivers excellent customer service while assisting customers at the pharmacy counter, drive-thru, and over the phone
- Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration
- Protects patients by adhering to infection-control protocols
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
- Completion of an emergency contraception training course approved by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), curriculum-based programs from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, applicable state or local health department programs, or programs recognized by the board of pharmacy upon hire
- Valid state pharmacist license (or must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification upon hire
