Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes in condition or behavior.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals to meet the individual needs of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with recreational activities and social engagement to promote an active lifestyle.
- Work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and long-term care practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs is advantageous.
- Cooking skills are appreciated for meal preparation responsibilities.
