Caregiver

Job Overview
As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes or group home settings. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to helping others maintain their independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitoring medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Support clients in participating in community activities and maintaining social connections.

Skills

• Experience in home care or group home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is beneficial.
• Familiarity with long-term care practices and direct support services.
• Assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting.
