RISE Community Hospital is committed to providing safe and quality experience for emergency department patients and patients who are seeking sobriety through our RISE recovery program. Our facilities provide a means for patients to obtain medical clearance and stabilization to enter a drug and/or alcohol abuse rehabilitation program or recovery support communities.
About the Role:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Emergency Department plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions and injuries. The APP will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient workflow. Additionally, the role involves educating patients and their families about treatment plans and preventive care strategies. Ultimately, the APP will contribute to the overall mission of providing exceptional emergency care to the community in Prairieville.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active state licensure to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an emergency department or urgent care setting.
- Certification in Emergency Medicine or related specialty.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Advanced trauma life support (ATLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Provide emergency care for a variety of medical and traumatic conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective patient management.

The required skills for this role include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for accurately diagnosing and managing patients in a high-pressure environment. Effective communication skills are vital for collaborating with team members and educating patients about their care. Preferred skills, such as advanced trauma life support, further equip the APP to handle complex cases and improve patient outcomes.
