Join our dedicated team at Brushy Creek as an Operating Room Radiologic Technologist. In this pivotal role, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality radiographic imaging services in the operating room. You will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals by capturing and producing clear and accurate images of patients during surgical procedures. Your work will directly contribute to the success of surgical interventions and patient outcomes. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, positioning patients for optimal imaging, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the procedure. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure the timely delivery of images and provide support in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Experience working in an operating room setting.
- Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures in the operating room, including fluoroscopy, portable x-rays, and C-arm procedures.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and safety.
- Position patients for optimal imaging, taking into consideration their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to capture and produce clear and accurate images during surgical procedures.
- Provide support in emergency situations, such as trauma cases or urgent surgeries, by quickly and efficiently obtaining diagnostic images.
Job Requirments
- Proficiency in the use of CT/X-ray equipment, including knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance requirements.
- Experience with Picture Archiving and Communition Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development in radiologic technology.
- BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified time frame.
- Physical ability to assist patients onto and off the imaging table and to maneuver imaging equipment.
