The RISE Patient Advocate in Prairieville plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care and support throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves Interviewing patients, identifying care problems, making referral to appropriate healthcare services, acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, and advocating for patients' needs and preferences. The Patient Advocate will work closely with patients to understand their concerns, provide information about available resources, and facilitate communication with medical staff. By fostering a supportive environment, the advocate aims to enhance patient satisfaction and improve health outcomes. Ultimately, the goal is to empower patients to take an active role in their healthcare decisions and ensure they feel heard and valued.
Duties
- Experience and direct contact with clients with behavioral or substance abuse disorders.
- Strong working knowledge of behavioral theory and applied behavior analysis.
- Understanding of the characteristics and behaviors associated with disorders.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle intense emotional situations.
- Ability to apply behavioral and treatment principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent stress management skills.
Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire.
Food Handler Certification
Education
HS Diploma or equivalent
