Job Title: Associate Clinician (AMFT or ASW)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Annual Rate Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Location: Contra Costa Family Justice Center (Richmond, CA and Concord, CA)

The Family Justice Center (the “Center”) is a warm and welcoming one-stop center for victims of interpersonal violence (IPV) -- domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The Center serves victims and survivors regardless of their income, immigration status or location. We meet survivors where they are and help them through the process of healing and self-empowerment. The Center is a public-private partnership committed to creating a vibrant community free of coercion and fear. It supports the West Center located in Richmond, the Central Center in Concord, East Center in Antioch, South Center in Danville, and the Solano Center in Fairfield.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are accepting applications for oneClinician for our centers in Richmond and Concord, CA. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Clinical Director. This position is contingent on grant funding. Employment is dependent on the availability and continuation of these funds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Conduct screening interview with all incoming clients, including needs assessment, safety plan, service plan, and follow-up plan.

· Complete required training, provided by the Family Justice Center, in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and Bounce Back, adapting these school-based therapies for use at our centers.

· Carry a caseload of individual clients (50 clients per year) and provide individual and group therapy using the CBITS and Bounce Back models.

· Participate in ongoing case-planning with Family Justice Navigators.

· Monitor program deliverables and evaluation.

· Assist with grant reporting.

· Perform other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned and deemed necessary by the Clinical Director.

· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential to meet the needs of our youth clients and their families.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Associate Clinician (AMFT or ASW) required.

· Two years’ experience in providing trauma informed therapy and care preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Bilingual preferred.

· Demonstrated knowledge of or a background in domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, elder abuse, or human trafficking.

· Experience providing counseling/therapy and working with complex, chronic trauma and using trauma informed interventions.

· Strong analytical and organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.

· De-escalation, conflict resolution and crisis-management skills.

· Ability to travel.

· Ability and willingness to learn new areas and practices.

· Teamwork and interpersonal flexibility.

· Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google features proficiency.
