About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Law Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and paternity matters.
- Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Manage all aspects of case development, from client intake to resolution.
- Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies tailored to their specific needs.
- Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary.
- Stay current on legal developments and changes in family law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar Association.
- 2 years of experience practicing family law.
Interview Process:
- On-Site Interview: Introduction to Managing Partners.
- Second Interview (if necessary): Meet the team and discuss role expectations.
Compensation & Bonus Structure:
- Base Compensation Includes: 864 billable hours per year (18 hours per week).
- Bonus Structure: Anything over 18 billable hours per week is paid out on a monthly bonus schedule.
- Example Compensation: $215,000 total compensation (Base Bonus) for 32 billable hours per week, $298,000 total compensation (Base Bonus) for 38 billable hours per week.
