The successful candidate will have a proven track record of handling complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence matters. As a Family Law Attorney at our firm, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel, representing clients in court proceedings, and negotiating settlements.
The role of the Family Law Attorney requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with clients to develop effective case strategies tailored to their unique needs, and manage a diverse caseload, advocating for clients in court and providing strategic legal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and paternity matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Manage all aspects of case development, from client intake to resolution.
- Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies that meet their specific goals.
- Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary.
- Stay current on legal developments and changes in family law.
Compensation & Bonus Structure:
- Base Compensation includes 864 billable hours per year (18 hours per week).
- Bonus Structure: Anything over 18 billable hours per week is paid out on a monthly bonus schedule.
- Example Compensation: 32 billable hours per week - $215,000 total compensation (Base Bonus), 38 billable hours per week - $298,000 total compensation (Base Bonus).
