SUMMARY OF POSITION
Join our dedicated team as a Medical Clinic Lab Technician Assistant, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Assistant. As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation and processing of patient samples for laboratory testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of specimens and samples.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and guidelines.
- Record and maintain accurate data and logs of laboratory activities and results.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for laboratory procedures.
- Provide clerical support, including filing and data entry, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and laboratory information systems(LIS).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
Plus 2 years’ experience in a Medical Lab
- Preferred: Associate degree in a science-related field
Phlebotomy Certificate
