Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time Nanny to provide exceptional care for our nine month old baby in our home.
We need someone who can commit to a permanent, weekly schedule:
Mondays:
11:25 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Tuesdays:
11:55 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesdays:
8:55 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursdays:
11:55 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and with babies. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily activities, ensure safety, and foster a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Commit to a consistent, weekly schedule for a permanent position.
- Provide attentive and loving care for one nine-month-old baby in our home, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Give undivided attention to baby without usage of screens (phones, tv, tablets etc.) or leaving them alone at any time.
- Engage child in play that promotes learning and development.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating preferences of what types of food to feed baby.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment including tidying up after meals and playtime.
- Engage in light housekeeping while baby is asleep (i.e. empty dishwasher, clean kitchen counters, sweep, empty trash etc.)
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
Special Requests
- Must be comfortable with nanny camera and parent(s) being in home.
- Willing to learn Natural Infant Potty Training (give baby opportunities to go to the bathroom on mini-potty).
- Record information about timing of when baby does certain activities such as drinking milk, eating, changing diaper (and/or pottying), and sleeping.
- Be willing to give information for employer to report wages paid for caregiving.
Experience
- Previous experience in babysitting or nannying is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is an asset.
- A background in caregiving or education is advantageous but not required; passion for child development is key.
