Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing, managing, and coordinating tasks and projects to ensure they are completed within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. This part-time, paid position involves coordinating volunteer programs and internal projects.
Essential Functions:
- Volunteer and Connection Coordinator: Welcome and assist members and non-members, cultivate relationships with volunteer teams, organize gatherings, maintain schedules, ensure resources are available, and work with ministry partners to recruit volunteers.
- Project Manager: Develop best practices for managing church projects, create a master project calendar, implement communication systems for ongoing projects, work with staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners, ensure funding and resources are approved, monitor work schedules, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Communication Manager: Oversee specific projects such as worship and welcome volunteer teams, small group programming, website refresh, community communications, social media programs, and facilities volunteer projects.
- Specific Project Initiatives:
- Develop and manage the framework for worship and welcome volunteer teams
- Organize and oversee Family of Christ small group programming
- Lead the refresh and ongoing maintenance of Family of Christ’s desktop and mobile websites
- Create and implement schedules and plans for community communications and social media programs
- Coordinate facilities volunteer projects and events
- Advance monthly tasks as directed by Family of Christ leadership and council
Requirements:
- 2 years of project management experience or demonstrated ability to complete projects.
- Passion for service ministry and community.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Positive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible.
- Problem-solving skills, innovative and creative.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS-Office, with the ability to learn new software.

Compensation:
- This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week. This is a non-exempt, hourly position, ranging from $23-$25 per hour. The work environment is very flexible, and there is dedicated office space at the church.
