Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, professional, and empathetic individual to join our team as a Funeral Home Greeter. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming and comforting environment for families and guests visiting our funeral home. The ideal candidate is personable, well-spoken, and able to provide support in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responsibilities:
- Greet families and guests upon arrival, providing a warm and professional welcome
- Direct visitors to the appropriate chapel, lounge, or service area
- Assist with seating guests and ensuring a smooth flow of services
- Offer general information and answer any questions about the funeral home
- Maintain a tidy and presentable front entrance and common areas
- Assist funeral directors with light administrative tasks as needed
- Provide support to grieving families with kindness and discretion
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain composed and professional in an emotional environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs
- Well-groomed and professional appearance
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
