What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel/Boarding Technician position at Family Pet Hospital?
Family Pet Hospital of Stone Oak is currently looking for a Boarding/ Kennel Technician to work FULL TIME in our energetic, team oriented atmosphere. The ideal candidate is one who is friendly, motivated, patient and enjoys working with people as well as pets. Someone who has a good sense of humor, a fun personality, and the willingness to work in conjunction with team members from all departments is a must. The desire to provide excellent patient care and client relationships is essential. This person will understand the importance of each client to our business and treat them with the highest level of care, competence, warmth and compassion. You must be comfortable interacting with clients and with the handling of pets including dogs, cats and exotics (small mammals, birds and reptiles). You must love and respect all animals and the bond shared between pets and people. This is a fast paced job and requires the ability to multi task. *The care of these pets will be your primary responsibility. -You will feed, water, administer their medication, monitor them and maintain clean accommodations for them while they are staying with us. -You will also give them exercise and socialize with them in an effort to make their stay with us as pleasant as possible. *Another aspect of this position is hospital cleaning and janitorial work. -This includes night time sweeping and mopping (sanitation) of the hospital among other duties. *Flexibility of schedule is required. -The FULL-TIME position and the required hours are rotating and is based on a 5 day work week (7:00 AM-3:00 PM & 11:30 PM- Close -6:30-7:30 PM ). -Every other WEEKEND is also required, working split shifts on both SATURDAY and SUNDAY. -HOLIDAYS and holiday weekends are required and are covered by all Boarding personnel.
