The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages, including geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care for patients in both clinic and inpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of a busy primary care office environment.
