Overview:
Family Promise of Bergen County is a non-profit organization seeking a creative Fund Development Associate with a strong digital marketing background to join and support the overall fundraising efforts of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position requires a blend of fund development knowledge, marketing expertise, and creativity in digital communication. The ideal candidate will participate in all fund development activities and be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance our online presence and drive donor engagement.
Duties
- Assist with the grant submission process including prospect research for corporations and foundations, writing LOIs, proposals, and budgets
- Maintain grants and reporting schedule
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and websites
- Create engaging content and graphics for appeals, campaigns, and event promotion that resonate with target audiences and promote organization and program awareness
- Utilize tools such as Donor Perfect, Hootsuite and One Cause to manage customer relationships and track campaign performance
- Identify trends and opportunities to inform marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with all team members to support event planning initiatives and enhance overall fund development efforts
- Manage social media calendar and schedule posts
- Manage logistics of fundraising events including silent auctions, cultivation and management of sponsors, and coordination of acknowledgments
- Take on special initiatives as assigned by the Director of Development
Requirements
- 2 - 3 years fund development/digital marketing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms
- Proven experience in digital marketing with a strong understanding of current trends and best practices.
- Strong grant writing skills
- The ability to learn and utilize the voice of the organization
- Experience with DonorPerfect or similar CRM systems is advantageous
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all team members
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for the mission, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Bachelor degree preferred but not required
