An affiliate of the national Family Promise program, FPGNB is dedicated to addressing the crisis of family homelessness in the Greater New Braunfels area. Since 2013, FPGNB has provided financial support, sheltering, meals, case management and counseling for children and their families experiencing homelessness using a holistic approach that engages with church congregations and local resources to empower families toward economic stability.
Our new Executive Director (ED) will be considerate, creative, and self-driven, with strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills. They must bring maturity, compassion, and empathy for our guests and the ability to relate to individuals from different racial, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. Leveraging their passion for families with children, the new ED will ensure the delivery of programming that changes lives.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work preferred.
· Experience leading, supervising, and collaborating with others, preferably in a mission-driven setting, to deliver outcomes.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly public speaking.
· 3 years of experience in social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field.
· Knowledge of basic computer software and electronic communications tools.
· Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with homeless services, housing authorities, social service agencies and/or general assistance programs.
· Continuous improvement mindset.
· Understanding of organizational budgeting and financial management.
· Experience in non-profit fundraising and fund development.
Responsibilities of the Executive Director:
· Represent FPGNB to the media, government, corporations, and other nonprofit partners, furthering positive awareness and engagement.
· Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with people, businesses, community partners and churches to ensure both monetary and human support for programming that empowers families toward economic stability.
· Engage with the Board of Trustees and its various committees to set and achieve organizational goals, leverage individual member skills/expertise, activate robust fundraising initiatives, and recruit new members.
· Supervise Case Management team and provide case management when needed. Implement programs that facilitate positive outcomes for families and have resources to deliver on the FPGNB mission. Ensure families are cared for and handle any family crisis swiftly and compassionately.
· Continuously pursue operating as a high-performing organization including volunteers, board, and staff, working collaboratively to get things done.
· Pursue all appropriate funding opportunities: grants, individual/congregation donations, corporate giving, annual giving and special events to support helping more families achieve and sustain independence.
· Collaborate with accounting resources to ensure compliant financial recordkeeping - maintaining the stability of 501(c)3 compliance, filing all proper tax documents by appropriate due dates and preparing/presenting financial reports to the Board of Trustees.
· Work in partnership with the national organization to ensure compliance with, and promotion of, the core values of FPGNB.
Salary and working hours:
ED salary is dependent on experience. Position is full-time, salaried, exempt, typically 40 hours per week. The ED must be available to work nights, some weekends, and be on call.
