Family Promise of Greater Wichita is currently in search of a full-time Director of Programs to provide overall leadership, strategic direction, administration and operational success of all program services.

The work of the organization includes 3 core programs:
- Shelter services - working with families in our local community that are currently facing homelessness
- Emergency Services - providing financial assistance and case management to those facing eviction in order to prevent a homeless crisis
- Stabilization Services - working with families long term to ensure that there are sustainable solutions in place
The Director of Programs is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction in the development, implementation and evaluation of the organization's program offerings to address homelessness, housing insecurity and family stabilization needs.
Job responsibilities include:
- Oversee the Shelter Services, Stabilization Services and Emergency Services programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and social work best practices.
- Supervise and mentor the Family Advocate case management team ensuring high- quality service delivery.
- Continually assess community needs and analyze program data to identify opportunities for enhancing services and operations.
- Develop and manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, oversee grant reporting, and ensure fiscally responsible management of resources.
- Ensure all program activities operate within the organization's mission, core values, policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Hire, train, evaluate performance and provide professional development opportunities for program staff.
- Maintain effective communication with the Executive Director by providing regular reporting.
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director to review program and staff data, ensuring successes are celebrated and issues are resolved.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization by actively participating in community events, coalitions and initiatives related to homelessness, affordable housing and family services.
- Advocate at the local, state and national level for policies, resources and systemic changes that prevent and address homelessness and housing instability.
- Foster collaborative relationships and partnerships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, housing providers, employers and other community stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with other social services organizations that enhance the organization's programs and create an integrated system of services for families.
- Identify opportunities for joint initiatives, resource sharing and coordination of efforts with partner entities.
- Represent the organization on boards, committees and planning groups focused on issues impacting families experiencing homelessness.
- Raise awareness about homelessness and the organization's mission by speaking at public events, conferences and through media engagements.
- Stay informed on trends, research and best practices related to homelessness interventions and family stabilization services.
- As part of staff and board team rotation, fulfill on-call and emergency needs including work on weekends and/or in the evenings.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- LMSW or the ability to obtain LMSW within one year of employment
- 5 years of program management experience in adult case management, human
- services or homelessness services
- Prior experience leading a case management team
- Commitment to the mission and values of FPGW
- Passion to serve others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Flexibility that allows for changes in assignments and priorities
- Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office programs and SalesForce
- Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record required
