The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of all facilities and grounds at FPTV. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and general carpentry tasks. The Maintenance Specialist works closely with staff to address maintenance needs promptly, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Additionally, the role requires maintaining detailed records of repairs and servicing schedules, adhering to safety regulations, and supporting the dignity, privacy, and safety of guests by performing tasks with minimal disruption to daily operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in similar positions, e.g., direct care, resident assistant, front desk work.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
    • Due to federal funding, drug use, including marijuana, is prohibited during employment.
  • Strong integrity and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Passionate about ensuring excellent treatment and care for clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Proficient multitasking skills.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Ability to take the lead in developing processes & systems within a defined ownership area
  • Experience with training staff/volunteers
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
  • Ability to handle complaints and challenging clients professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation.

Desired Qualifications - If you do not, we will provide the required training.
  • CPR/First Aid/Narcan Certification
  • Valid food handler’s card

Pay Scale:
$22-26/hr., DOE

Work Hours:
Friday-Monday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Physical Demands:
The role requires sitting, especially for computer work, extending arms in various directions, and using office equipment like a computer and phone. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and navigate a large building, including tight spaces. Requires visual acuity for reading screens or documents and the auditory capacity for oral communication. Regular attendance is vital.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
