Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team at our outpatient mental health clinic. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and providing leadership to nursing staff. This position requires a strong clinical background in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing, along with excellent leadership and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and manage a team of nurses, and other support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Provide mentorship, training, coordinate coverage and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Clinical Oversight & Patient Care:
- Responsible for managing sample medication.
- Acquire and document patient vitals.
- Check Med Lines and return patient calls.
- Complete Prior-Authorizations
- All other duties as assigned
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Develop and maintain nursing protocols in accordance with best practices for psychiatric care.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure documentation and patient records meet quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in mental health or psychiatric care.
- Experience in outpatient mental health services preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
