What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Facilitator - Agency Admin position at Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc.?
The Grant Facilitator is a director-level position. Under the supervision of the Chief Project Officer, the Grant Facilitator is responsible for ensuring that grant applications are completed according to the grant requirements. The position will keep abreast of the needs and priorities of the organization in order to research potential funding opportunities. Responsibilities include:
- Provides support in the development and preparation of grant/contract proposals and applications. Works closely with a grant sponsor and accounting department on details included in the application.
- Establishes responsibilities and timelines that ensure adequate time to compile and review the application prior to submission. Notifies the Chief Project Officer or other leadership team member of delays that imperil timely submission.
- Reviews grant budgets with accounting representative for accuracy and compliance.
- Reviews grant/contract applications for completeness and adherence to the requirements of the funding. Completes spell- and grammar-checking. Reviews the layout, font, and general appearance of the application in order to ensure a professional submission.
- Submits applications and proposals using federal electronic submission portals and other sponsor-required methods.
- Tracks applications submitted and granted. Brings any feedback on the application’s strengths and weaknesses back to the vetting committee.
- Participates with advocacy team on soliciting needs for legislative requests.
- Chairs the grants vetting committee meeting. Prepares executive summaries of the proposals under consideration for the committee’s review. Prepares minutes of the meeting, including assigned responsibilities and follow-up items.
