What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Director position at Family Resources Inc.?
The residential director is to provide overall leadership to the shelter facilities in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Bradenton. The role includes ensuring the supervisors and programs engage those we serve where they are; earn trust through honest relationships; demonstrate integrity; and inspire and empower positive change.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acts in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Family Resources
- Aids in the creation of and supports a positive culture within the shelter programs and with the supervisors
- Ensures that self, supervisors, and programs are meetings KPI's
- Ensures that the agency meets and exceeds all shelter and funder expectations and services are high performing
- Responsible for the preparation, consistent adherence, and direct engagement with outside entities for all program monitoring, audits, and licensing visits
- Oversees risk management, safety, and staff development for the shelter programs
- Works with the supervisory team to ensure training needs are met in accordance with funder requirements
- Maintains positive working relationships with DJJ, DCF licensing, courts, schools, law enforcement and other community partners
- Participates in local and state organizations
- Assists in the development of annual program budgets
- Helps to maintain efficient hiring practices and ensure staffing is adequately maintained
- Addresses any personnel or performance issues in conjunction with the supervisors
- Participates in the Quality Improvement Process and agency teams
- Conducts weekly and monthly meetings with supervisors
- Provides direct supervision with supe4rvisors
- Is knowledgeable of state licensing
- Works non-0tranditional hours and weekends when needed. During weather-related emergencies such as hurricanes which require coordination and evacuation, the director will be expected to be on-site as needed and to facilitate this process in conjunction with the supervisor
- Works as a member on the on-call team and provides on-site support when needed
- In the absence of a supervisor, fills ion as the direct supervisor for that specific program
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field is required, Master's preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in increasingly responsible administrative or management capacity
