Qualifications:
- Education Required: Open
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Experience Required: Any relevant experience in a related field.
- Experience Preferred: 3 years of related human services field work experience.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance are required. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.
Position Specifics

- Position Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, primarily during daytime hours.

Position Details
The Advocate –Prevention is a part-time position that provides comprehensive sexual abuse, trafficking, teen dating, and stalking services to college campuses, trade schools, community colleges, and other campuses in the community. This position will cover Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois counties as a component of the Survivor Services. This position will offer outreach and awareness to all campuses and provide training and technical assistance to ensure compliance with Title IX and Campus SaVE for students, faculty, and staff. This position will also train campus affiliates on how to identify and reduce sexual and domestic violence among college-age students. This position will collaborate with the Relations Coordinator - Volunteer & Interns to train and develop student advocates for campus crisis response. This position provides comprehensive trauma-informed and survivor-centered services to survivors of sexual abuse, teen dating, and stalking. This position will deliver presentations and/or trainings in the community and elementary, middle, high schools, and higher education on prevention strategies. This position will collaborate with their team to meet the goals of providing quality survivor services, increasing survivor identification, increasing access to services, and increasing referrals. This position must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Director- Survivor Services. This position will need to have a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.
