Family Restoration Services (FRS) provides an array of services to emotionally disabled youth requiring supportive services to stabilize in their own homes. Family Restoration seeks to restore optimal health to the body, mind, and spirit. In this respect, our mission is to offer youth and families restorative counsel to repair dysfunctional homes, build healthy familial relationships, and to curb negative behaviors and attitudes through fitness and nutritional activities, therapeutic interventions and community partnering.

FRS believes each child deserves an opportunity to be involved in something he/she enjoys, explore talents and dreams and to gain passion for life and living through achieving excellence. FRS sets a standard for participation in various activities that allows youth access to social and recreational opportunities, with same age, non- disabled peers. Youth are escorted into natural settings with a therapeutic agent who experientially teaches discipline, self-control, respect for authority, positive peer relations, and life-saving lessons only gained through these types of real-life experiences. FRS employs highly competent and skilled individuals that believe in success and motivational concepts that encourage achievement in every relevant environment of a child's life.

Family Restoration Services seeks goal-oriented, high energetic individuals to join our company as Family Support Specialists to provide home and community-based, mental health supportive services to a caseload of consumers and their families in accordance with established individualized service plans. The Specialist must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with and support our diverse clientele. Specialists will work as a part-time independent contractor between 5 and 20 hours a month per assigned case/youth. Qualified candidates should be able to work independently in the client’s home and other community settings and be able to exercise appropriate clinical judgment in potentially threatening or serious situations.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of child development in partnership with families
  • Developing a plan that includes strategies to addresses families' concerns and challenges
  • Provide crisis intervention, individual and family supportive counseling, parenting support and behavior management to seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents
  • Assess youth’s progression and need for change in individualized service plan to reach optimal results;
  • Monitor nutritional, physical and dental needs and encourage healthier dietary exchanges,
  • Attend monthly sporting activities and community service activities

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or in special education from an accredited college with three years of experience working with adolescents. Or Master's degree in a Human Services field with one-year experience working with adolescents in the home or community-based setting, and at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents.
  • Current certifications in crisis management, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Current Driver's License with a favorable driving record required (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, no more than 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years, no DUIs in the last 5 years).
  • Applicants must have a personal vehicle for client transportation and current auto insurance.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
