The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. About the role: Ongoing Full Time

An experienced Property Officer will be required to demonstrate compliance in the following respective fields

• Property portfolio management
• Managing lease transactions and tenants' maintenance requests, liaising with internal, external and interdepartmental stakeholders on property and managing land transaction issues to ensure accurate advice.
• The position oversees the alignment of leasing, maintenance and funding processes, with long-term strategic programs.
• Strong Written Communication Skills (Executive and Ministerial Breifings)
• The role will require the successful candidate to work collaboratively amongst multiple groups of employees / stakeholders

About You

• Offer authoritative advice and analysis on property planning issues, including asset management, lease management, and maintenance planning.
• Develop and implement improved business processes, offering systematic consultation on options for enhancing property management practices.
• Oversee the Property Management System and its stakeholders, including system usage, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
• Conduct detailed analysis of property data to identify trends, risks, and issues related to property demand and management.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with key stakeholders (internal to the department, VHBA, external within the state or interstate) to promote collaboration and a partnership approach to property management.
• Take responsibility for overseeing, monitoring, and delivering property projects using internal or external resources, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, government regulations, and guidelines.

• A tertiary qualification in property management, real estate, or a related field is desirable.
• Qualifications and/or experience in fields related to property law, lease administration, project management, or data analysis would be advantageous.
• Proven skills and experience in property management, including leasing, maintenance, and financial reporting.
