About The Role

Full time – Ongoing

Team Leader ITS Asset Compliance's primary focus is to coordinate resource activities to ensure Compliance of ITS assets across the network, actively manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and continually improve documentation, devlop and submit business cases, resource planning, supporting business continuity activities.

Position Outcomes

  • Provide effective leadership, people management and support to team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required
  • Lead and champions OH&S through coaching, supporting and empowering staff to apply a safety-first approach to all works and report on improvements made
  • Coordinate and Manage all compliance activities associated with handing over maintenance responsibility of assets from various stakeholders for ongoing maintenance, in accordance with DTP Asset Handover Requirements and Guidelines
  • Manage the provision of up to date technical and asset management expert advice to various internal / external projects and stakeholders across the state within agreed time frames, to expected quality within budget
  • Provide expert advice to ensure consistent approach of surveillance and inspection throughout the asset areas to ensure the skills of employees working in the Compliance area are enhanced to build their capability and confidence in achieving successful outcomes

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Team Leader, ITS Asset Compliance, you will guide others to foster a culture of collaboration by identifying and overcoming barriers to knowledge and information sharing, while seeking opportunities to work cross-functionally to achieve outcomes. You will apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues, interpreting guidelines where available and consulting with others when necessary to ensure effective solutions. When managing difficult conversations, you will facilitate discussions on complex issues and skillfully navigate conflict to reach timely and pragmatic solutions. Understanding the political and organizational context, you will use both formal and informal relationships to influence decisions, ensuring that all actions adhere to the organization's values, legal obligations, and ethical standards. Your ability to influence and persuade will be key as you develop long-term, multi-phased plans, negotiate effectively, and secure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. You will also manage stakeholder relationships by identifying and addressing competing needs, facilitating innovative solutions to resolve challenges. Through effective team management, you will align team activities with operational plans and organizational goals, ensuring tasks are allocated appropriately in line with defined roles while modeling the values of the organization.

Qualifications And Experience

Mandatory

  • 5 years of team leadership with field-based resources working 24/7 rosters
  • 5 years of hands on experience in delivery or maintenance

Desirable

  • Significant experience in surveillance and/or quality assurance
  • Experience in building the skills of other people in the areas of maintenance and its governance
  • Experience relevant to the accountabilities and capabilities of the role
