THE ROLE
The position represents the Victorian Senior Practitioner in a monitoring and oversight role and in other high-level meetings and reference groups across Victoria with key stakeholders. Within these forums, the Team Leader provides clinical and strategic advice on complex clients, service, practice, and operational matters that safeguards the rights if people with a disability that are subject to restrictive practice.
The Team Leader is responsible for leading the team to meet legislative and operational activities surrounding the authorisation and approval of restrictive practices and systemic and individual clinical reviews for people with a disability as defined in the Disability Act 2006.
The Team Leader contributes to a range of projects related to the implementation of the legislative requirements of the Disability Act 2006 and systemic and evidence based practice improvements that safeguard the rights of people with a disability subject to restrictive practices.

- Represent the Victorian Senior Practitioner in relation to people with a disability subject to restrictive practices, ensuring the completion of key monitoring and oversight activities and provision of high-quality advice.
- Lead a team in providing or contributing to authoritative and expert advice and recommendations consistent with organisational goals and values.
- Lead the development of and present training on restrictive practices and the Victorian authorisation process to disability sector stakeholders.
