Details: Hybrid schedule – four days required in office (Monday-Thursday). Work from home Friday.
What is a representative payee?
A representative payee is a person/agency appointed by Social Security that receives and manages your money for you. This person will see that bills are paid on time and help with managing and budgeting your money. A payee can receive Social Security income, Supplemental Security Income and other funds on your behalf. A representative payee keeps informed about the beneficiary’s needs so that the representative payee can decide how benefits can best be used for his/her personal care and well-being. A representative payee will keep Social Security informed of changes that may affect the beneficiary’s eligibility for benefits.
Job Description:
Representative payees pay clients’ bills.
The bills come directly to the office and the rep. payee is responsible for paying all clients bills.
FSA utilizes a customized software system the employee will be trained on using (AIM management systems).
The employee is expected to correspond with their clients to ensure bills are being received timely and efficiently.
There are annual reports for each client that is to be filled out. These reports are sent to the office from the Social Security Administration and are to be filled out by the representative payee.
The clients being served are individuals with disabilities and/or impairments that make it difficult to manage their own finances. It is the rep. payee’s job to effectively communicate with the clients to ease their worries regarding their finances as well as ensure they financially cared for.
Other tasks include: Filing paperwork, managing Gmail and Google Calendar, communication among clients and their constituents, responding to clients in the office, and working efficiently with coworkers to ensure optimal client care.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background in managing funds and/or bill pay
